How many people are monitoring the building temperatures, are they in-line with recommended temperatures?

Hi David. At DMU we monitor the temperatures around the buildings constantly through our building management system. Most buildings have a reasonable number of temperature sensors, some more than others. Out setpoints for classrooms / offices = 21 degrees, and for corridors / circulation spaces (where we can control these independently) it is 18C. We try to ensure that our building systems do not overheat spaces above 21C, however overheating does frequently occur due to internal gains, solar gains, etc. Sometimes, due to problems with the heating systems we have to overheat one area temporarily to ensure that another is sufficiently warm. I hope that helps.
